CRISPY POTATO BALLS
The potato balls are a simple yet irresistible snack that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They are perfect for sharing, dipping in your favorite sauces, or enjoying as a side dish. Ingredients
- 4 potatoes 800 g / 1.76 lbs
- 4 tbsp corn starch adjust as needed
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- chili flakes for garnish optional
- chopped parsley for garnish optional
- oil for frying
- Ketchup mayo, or hot sauce for serving
Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in salted water until soft and easily pierced with a knife.
- Drain the potatoes and mash them using a ricer or fine mesh strainer for a smooth texture.
- Mix the mashed potatoes with corn starch, paprika powder, and pepper. Form the mixture into balls. If the mixture is still sticky, add more corn starch until it holds together.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the potato balls until golden and crispy on all sides. Place the fried potato balls on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Season with salt and optionally sprinkle with chili flakes and chopped parsley.
- Serve hot with ketchup, mayo, or hot sauce. Enjoy!
